RESPONSIBILITIES OF A SUPERVISOR: Administrating treatments and documentation Complete assessments to determine the resident’s needs. Use health assessment data to determine nursing diagnosis. Counsel patient’s family in meeting nursing related needs. All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing. The registered nurse develops, implements and evaluates the nursing plan of patient care and implements the medical plan of care in collaboration with all disciplines. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area. The RN is knowledgeable about principles, theories, current methods and techniques of nursing practice. Using the nursing process, the RN collaborates with the patient, patient's family member(s)/significant others, professional peers and other members of the health care team to individualize patient care. Directs nursing support staff in the provision of patient care according to the standards of nursing practice, administrative and departmental policies and procedures. Professional education, training or additional certifications may be required by specialty area. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician. The Medical Assistant provides basic patient care and performs job specific tasks under the direct supervision of a physician or other licensed medical provider according to established policies and procedures. Performs activities necessary to provide for the personal needs, comfort and safety of patients and their families. Responsibilities include clinical, environmental, and administrative duties in designated areas.
