This involves: Evaluating patients on the pulmonary consult service. This involves doing initial history/physical consultations and follow-up progress notes. Minimal Qualifications Education Master's degree Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Maryland State and/or DC Board Examiners of Nurses. required Experience 1-2 years 2 year experience as a nurse practitioner. May require additional experience in specialty assigned. required Licenses and Certifications NP - Nurse Practitioner - Licensed in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s). May require specialty license based on location. required and CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days required and Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit. Knowledge Skills and Abilities Verbal and written communication skills. Must have good problem-solving and independent judgment skills. Basic computer skills preferred.
