Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to): Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology Administer medications as prescribed by physicians, including intravenous medications, and monitor patients for any adverse reactions Provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modifications in the Telemetry Unit Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possible Responsible for the delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State.
