Overview The Community Outreach Nurse is a licensed professional, who is part of a community-based outreach team that responds to community needs. The role will focus on needs related to health fairs, health screenings, vaccination events, health promotion initiatives and educational programming throughout Sussex County and southern Kent County. The Community Outreach Nurse will assist with day-to-day operations of community events, such as but not limited to: high quality clinical care and customer service, adherence to Beebe values as a community-based representative of the organization, transport of supplies and equipment to event locations, safe and expeditious set-up and break-down of each event, ongoing compliance with equipment competencies, and interest in outreach growth opportunities. Excellent clinical and communication skills required. Responsibilities Demonstrate a strong knowledge of nursing practices and procedures and adherence to established patient screening procedures. ¿ Support community-based event operations including staffing needs, supporting fellow team members, addressing participant/patient concerns, and problem solving if complications arise. ¿ Maintain knowledge of current guidelines and recommendations, including vaccination information, for influenza, COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.
