What does the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) do? Under general supervision, the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) supports all activities associated with the development and implementation of quality and compliance projects. Assists with the implementation continuous quality improvement programs that are in partnership with third party payors. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities The essential duties and responsibilities: Performs audits to ensure quality and compliance standards are consistently met. Assists in meeting regulatory and statutory requirements by providing standardized and customized statistical data. Responsible for trending, researching, analyzing and maintaining data bases for quality and compliance inititives. Provide project support to the clinical governance council and QI committees. Assists and supports the implementation of practice wide clinical qualifiy initiatives and or PQE initiatives. Supports Compliance and Human Resources by assisting in training and in services. Assist the sites in peer review and E & M audits and reporting and other audits as assigned. Variance reporting trending. Resolution of patient and customer service complaints, tracking. HIPAA and Compliance trainging, auditing. Assists in policy editing and revisions. Researches and responds to routine and non-routine inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Obtains assistant to resolve complex inquiries, in order to discuss and learn. Other duties as requested or assigned. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the Quality Analytics Nurse (RN) will have the following background and experience: Bachelor's degree in nursing or related healthcare, business, or related field preferred. Minimum 1-2 years of experience in quality assurance, statistical analysis, or health care management. Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Power Point, and Excel required. Education/Training Level I Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred. RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Must maintain continuing education requirements. Documents patient plan(s) of care, tests and examination results in the medical record as directed by the provider. Communicates with patient regarding test results and plan of care by phone or mail as directed by physician. Prepares, cleans, and sterilizes instruments and maintains equipment, disposing of contaminated items according to protocol. Keeps patient exam rooms stocked, clean and orderly. Ensures safety checklists/quality controls are completed as required and provides for patient safety and protection of patient privacy rights. May work in the front office as needed, as well as perform other duties as assigned by practice manager, more senior staff, or as requested by healthcare provider(s).
