Summary The nurse resident will initiate a professional nursing practice career in a supportive environment committed to mentoring, coaching and learning. This is a 22 bed unit that provides general medical care for oncology patients who may requiring chemotherapy and/or telemetry monitoring. Residents will also participate in evaluation of their own individual progress as well as evaluation of the overall program. All Nurse Residents will be required to sign a Commitment Agreement, agreeing to work for a minimum of two (2) years in the Cancer Center as a Registered Nurse in good working standards complying with all polices and protocols of the Cancer Center. In the event the employee does not successfully complete the Nurse Residency Program or thereafter the commitment of two (2) full years of employment in the Cancer Center after completion of the program, employee agrees to refund the Cancer Center a pro-rated amount of the cost for the program.
