Nursing Responsibilities: Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients by providing the following: Administer medications Perform medical intakes and assess if patient is fit for incarceration, as needed Respond to sick call requests and follow up with the medical provider when needed Check and/or change medical dressings as required by the medical provider Performing 14-day physicals Managing chronic care Providing patient education on health concerns Responding to medical emergencies Be capable of performing life saving measures and ability to take charge and give direction in an emergency Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology, including but not limited to drug reaction/overdose, formulary/non-formulary medications, and knowledge of medication costs Be able to provide insight and direction to Medically Trained Personnel, as needed. Comply with all current and future state, federal, and local laws and regulations Location: Bartholomew County Jail, Columbus, Indiana Shift Opening(s): 7 PM to 7 AM, 1 night per week. What you need to know about this position: Our Mental Health unit (housed on the Columbus Regional Health campus) is an 18-bed secure inpatient unit treating adults 18 and older who are experiencing acute mental illness. We provide an individualized program for the intensive treatment of mental disorders, which includes a plan of care specific to each patient's circumstance and goals of the treatment. A new Registered Nurse in this unit will have an hourly base rate starting at $33.34. An experienced Registered Nurse can expect an hourly base rate in the top 25% of nurses in the region. RN positions are eligible for applicable shift differentials and Sunday/holiday premiums. In this position you would be scheduled to work 3 -8-hour evening shifts (24 hours/week, considered part-time) with start/end times of 3:00pm-11:30pm over the weekend, specifically Friday/Saturday/Sunday. The Weekend Option position offers a premium for hours worked between Friday at 3pm and Monday at 7:30am. *To be eligible for Weekend option position, at least 2 years of experience within department preferred but not required. What you need to know about this position: Our Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) is a 13-bed unit with approximately 6,000 patients annually and is responsible for safely and efficiently recovering patients from anesthesia following a procedure. While your interactions with our patients might be brief, your role as a Registered Nurse will be critical as you help to put the patient and his/her family at ease during recovery from anesthesia and transferring the patient to a floor or discharging home after the procedure. A new Registered Nurse in this unit will have an hourly base rate starting at $33.34. An experienced Registered Nurse can expect an hourly base rate in the top 25% of nurses in the region. What you need to know about this position: A member of the Columbus Regional Health Physicians team, OB/GYN Associates of Columbus, is a fast-paced practice with 8 providers and averages 80 patients a day. OB/GYN Associates of Columbus treats women throughout all the stages of their life. The Medical Assistant will be located in the office lab. The role our Medical Assistants play may vary but include responsibility for routine back office functions, bringing patients back to exam room, taking and recording basic medical history, and assisting the physicians and/or nurse as needed. The hourly range for this position is between $17.61 and $26.41. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions. This position will require you to work a shift of 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday. The RN demonstrates knowledge of the procedures performed and anticipates future needs of the physician. Demonstrates dependability; responds to demanding circumstances requiring good judgment and decision-making processes. The RN demonstrates knowledge and the use of good nursing judgment in the triage of patients. The RN provides prompt assessment of patient problems and appropriate intervention within established legal parameter toward stabilization. The RN monitors patient status effectively and efficiently to ascertain needs and observe changes in condition. The base hourly rate for this position is $28.85. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience. Patients on this unit could include those recovering from surgeries, bariatric procedures, and strokes or being treated for other medical conditions or receiving renal dialysis.
