Job Description Inova Cardiology - Springfield is looking for a dedicated Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team. Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities Performs essential duties necessary to clinic or non-acute operations to include: Full Intakes Reconciliation of Medications Patient Education Stress Testing (Regular, Echo and Nuclear) Helping patients manage INR Provides safe/therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way in a physician practice or other outpatient setting. Incorporates differences into the provision of care while integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families to include patient and family education. Achieves desired patient outcomes by using an integrated approach. Incorporates data and information to improve care and enhances outcomes while ensuring improvements in practice settings. Provides direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor. Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care. Determines immediate priorities and offers solutions for problems. Works with the team to achieve maximum productivity. Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree Nursing or Associate's Degree. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. Licensure: RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse. Experience: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience. Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association. Preferred Qualifications Greater than one year of RN experience in addition to prior Cardiology Nursing background such as in IMCU, PCU, Tele, CVICU is preferred. Position Title Registered Nurse, Administrative Supervisor (Part-Time) Job Description Purpose & Scope: Facilitates patient care service goals, objectives, standards of performance, policies in order to provide nursing services to meet legal, organizational and medical staff guidelines. Provides administrative direction, professional leadership adn clinical assistance to staff members. Functions in an advisory capacity to ancillary departments, on the evening and night shifts, as they relate to patient care. Supervises the implementation and compliance with standards of nursing practice that promote optimum health care delivery. Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required. Bachelor's degree in nursing is preferred. Experience: Two years of healthcare/medical - nursing/patient care experience is required. Demonstrated leadership ability is required. Certification/Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions or Compact State Licensure in Nursing is required. BLS certification is required. ACLS certification is to be obtained within six months. Other Qualifications ACLS or PALS cards stand as showing competence in BLS Skills per American Heart Association Guidelines. If an employee holds current ACLS or PALS certification, this meets the requirement for BLS in their job description. They do not need to also carry a separate BLS certification.
