RESPONSIBILITIES: Residents Provides or assists with bed bath, tub bath, whirlpool and showers. (Supervises safety of same.) Provides personal grooming: i.e. hair, nails, shaving, personal clothing, mouth care, perineal care. Prepares laundry for pick-up and return. Safety of Residents: Restraints are to be properly applied and released and removed every two (2) hours for at least 15 minutes. Make sure, if restraint is used, that it was indicated on assignment and the proper type is applied. Restraints are checked at the beginning and end of each shift. Supervises ambulation of resident when needed. Proper attention is given that side rails are up on bed when needed. Completes dining room duty as posted by charge nurse. Is alert for spills on floor. Answers call bells as soon as possible. Makes rounds frequently. Reports need for repair and safety matters to charge nurse. To Ascertain Vital Signs Follows procedure in taking TPR correctly.
