Job Description Summary The Mother Baby Unit/ Anterpartum unit is a 29 bed unit providing antepartum, postpartum and newborn care through the Couplet Care model. We also care for moms in 7 couplet care rooms in the NICU. Maternal care is provided for all stable postpartum patients, whether vaginal or cesarean. Neonatal care is provided to all low-risk infants, stable based on perinatal regionalization critera, including therapies such as phototherapy, IV antibiotics, and low risk NAS support. Primary diagnoses for our antepartum population include preterm labor, premature rupture of membranes, gestational diabetes, and pregnancy-induced hypertension. The staffing mix includes Registered Nurses, Patient Care Technicians and Unit Secretaries.
