About this Job: Unit Highlights The Pediatric Intensive Care Team at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital provides care for critically ill patients with ages ranging from neonates to 21 years. The unit is supported by the full spectrum of medical and surgical services. The PICU specializes in the care of complex transplant patients, such as pediatric liver, kidney, small bowel and multivisceral organ transplants. As one of MedStar Georgetown's Centers of Excellence, the MedStar Georgetown Transplant Institute draws pediatric patients from all around the world for our growing program, which recently introduced pediatric living donor transplants and domino transplants. The PICU provides the highest level of care to critically ill medical and surgical patients including those requiring high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, continuous veno-venous hemofiltration and inhaled nitric oxide. Caregivers provide direct care to residents, recognize individual needs, encourage independence and treat each senior with respect and dignity. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming and other personal care needs, as well as help residents with vacuuming, dusting, sweeping, mopping and dishes.
