Job Summary : Performs basic duties of patient care to adult and geriatric populations, under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse. CNAs who have successfully validated competencies will also provide care to pediatric and adolescent populations. Performs venipuncture accurately and appropriately. Maintains competency with the use of the computer system for ordering purposes. Transports patients safely using appropriate body mechanics. Assist patients with mobility problems appropriately. Obtains safe handling equipment as needed. Obtains vital signs accurately and reports findings to registered nurse. Applies Ted hose/SCD, cardiac leads and oximeter appropriately. Uses blood glucose meter, EKG machine and other medical equipment appropriately. Provides ongoing communication and clarifies unclear assignments or directions with the registered nurse Disconnects and sets-up humidified O2 and suction in the recovery room. Provides refreshments to post-op patients. Performs pre-operative hair removal as directed. Stocks the department for supplies and dietary needs. Stocks blanket warmer. Performs various housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain safe, clean environment. Adheres to standard precautions of infection control standards. Monitors patient refrigerator temperature and reports any problems Education Requirements and Other Requirements: Education Level: High school diploma or equivalent Certification/Licensure: Successful completion of approved Nurse Assistant course with certification by the State of Illinois BLS certification required within 30 days of hire Experience Requirements: Prior medical-surgical care experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Weekend Caregiver – Friday, Saturday & Sunday Location: Maryville, IL Pay: $17.00 per hour Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday | 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Hours: 36 hours per week We are currently looking for a dependable and experienced caregiver to provide care for a female client in Maryville, Illinois. This is a set weekend schedule and does NOT rotate. The caregiver hired for this position must be available to work every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The client is currently bedridden and requires hands-on assistance with her daily care. Responsibilities include: Repositioning/turning the client every 2–3 hours Assisting with personal care and hygiene Providing incontinence care and changing the client after bowel movements as needed Providing appropriate care while the client has a catheter Keeping the client clean, comfortable, and safe Other caregiving duties as needed We are looking for someone who is comfortable and experienced with bedridden clients, catheter care, repositioning, and personal care. Reliability is extremely important for this position. This position provides a guaranteed 36 hours each week , with opportunities to pick up additional shifts throughout the week if interested.
