ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following: Provide companionship and socialization Escort clients to recreational activities and medical appointments Perform light housekeeping duties, as needed, to maintain a safe environment (i.e. changing bed linens, laundry, dishes, etc.) Help clients with personal care needs (i.e. Home duties, cooking, light cleaning, medication reminders, etc.) Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) Perform light housekeeping duties, as needed, to maintain a safe environment (i.e. changing bed linens, laundry, dishes, etc.) Teach and encourage self-care skills Maintain complete and accurate documentation of clients’ care Maintain confidentiality in all matters related to the client's care Perform other duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) One year of Caregiving experience (preferred) Part-Time and Full-Time roles available, HHA (preferred) or CNA (required) Connecticut Driver’s License, Car Insurance, Car Registration Strong clinical assessment, organizational, and communication skills Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously Excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent customer relationship skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
