RN Duties Include: As a Registered Nurse (RN) supervisor, complete resident care requirements by scheduling and assigning nursing staff. Measure and record residents' vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration as needed upon assessment. Care Plan development and modification Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a safe and clean environment for residents and staff. Administer high-quality nursing care to residents. Develop and implement resident treatment and care plans. Monitor and report any changes in resident symptoms or behaviors. Communicate effectively with collaborating physicians and specialists regarding resident care. Educate residents on health maintenance and disease prevention. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all residents. Provide emotional support to residents and their families. Provide information to residents & staff by answering questions and requests. Maintain a cooperative relationship among health care teams. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: Current New York State RN license in good standing. Familiarity with NYS Department of Health regulations and guidelines. Previous experience in long-term care preferred. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Job Summary: The experienced Quality Registered Nurse will be responsible for working closely with assigned areas to facilitate peer review, promote patient safety and support regulatory compliance. Prepares for regulatory surveys in collaboration with PI staff and other departments as assigned Participates in all regulatory surveys including NJDOSS, Joint Commission, CMS, CAP, Division of Mental Health Services. Plans, implements, and evaluates performance improvement activities for assigned clinical, ancillary, and administrative departments. Develops policies and procedures to support operational outcomes and organizational goals Coordinates and leads focus groups as assigned. Participates in or leads performance improvement teams as requested. Participates in employee orientation program. Participates in or facilitates fact finding, high-risk occurrence, or sentinel event meetings. Develops strong relationships with managers, department heads, and administration. Provides support for infection prevention and takes initiatives in Infection Prevention projects.
