Trinitas is proud to be the only hospital in New Jersey with a separate unit to serve this population. The psychiatric inpatient 27 bed closed unit is an involuntary unit. Patients are committed to being inpatient for treatment and can have varying medical complexities. The psychiatric inpatient 21bed open unit is a voluntary unit. Patients are able to sign themselves in for treatment and can have varying medical complexities. Our staff are cross trained to work all the units within our inpatient behavioral health department. Job Description The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse 1, Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Distinguishing Characteristics The Registered Nurse 1 (T&RC) is a full performance level nurse position and possesses a license as a registered professional nurse in New York State; under the general direction of a higher level registered nurse or licensed health care provider, independently provides direct nursing care to individuals in accordance with Article 139 of the Education Law; supervises nursing care activities; and provides clinical supervision and training to Graduate Nurses (T&RC), Teaching & Research Center Licensed Practical Nurses, and direct care staff.
