Description The Clinical Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Responsibilities Patient Care 1. Delivers patient care by incorporating the tenets of the professional practice model of Relationship Centered Care and through the application of the nursing process based upon theory, research, evidence-based practice, and approved organizational nursing standards. 2. Description The Nurse Manager (NM) is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service setting such as inpatient, procedural, emergency department or ambulatory care. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, daily staffing (as supported by the Center-Led Staffing Model), employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical record documentation, compliance with internal and external regulatory agency requirements and patient safety solution/corrective action plans.
