Find your calling at Mercy! Position Details: Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City (W Memorial Rd) Shift: Full Time, 40 hours/week Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Qualifications: Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN) Preferred Experience: 1 year of critical-care nursing experience Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Red Cross (ARC) or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire; one or more of the certifications below may be required based on the position/unit hired to, or acquisition of certification within department required timeframe: ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), CPHON (Certified Pediatric/Hematology/Oncology Nurses), OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), PEARS (Pediatric Assessment Recognition and Stabilization), S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules, C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification), Other unit-specific certifications as required Physical Requirements: Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis. Location: Mercy Hospital - Oklahoma City Shift: Full Time (36 hours/week) Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts/week Overview: Under the supervision of the surgeon, The Surgical Tech First Assist (ST-FA) is a role which provides additional assistance to the surgeon in the Operating Room over and above that normally provided. As defined by the American College of Surgeons (ACS), surgical assistants provide aid in exposure, hemostasis, closure, and other interoperative technical functions that help the surgeon carry out a safer operation with optimal results for the patient. In addition, the ST-FA may perform in the role of the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room as needed. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and guiding principles. Qualifications: Education: High-School Diploma or GED Required. Preferred Experience: 2+ years of full-time scrub experience with complex and routine cases preferred. Licensure / Certification: If n on-certified, will train the right candidate. 1-2 years of scrub experience required. If certified, successful completion of the Tech in Surgery - Certified (NCCT) exam with certification for LPN and Military candidates. 1-2 Years of scrub experience required. American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Preferred Licensure / Certification: Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
