Job Description Balance Life & Work with a New Career Opportunity at CareOne at Valley Now Hiring - Director or Wellness - Westwood, NJ Salary Range $125,000 to $200,000 a year/ Full-time Job Duties The Director of Wellness is responsible for the resident care management and oversight of all clinical programs within the community. The Director collaborates with residents, families, healthcare providers and staff to provide quality care and ensure regulatory requirements. The Director provides supervision and support to the nursing staff. Job duties include, but are not limited to: Coordinate, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the nursing service department as well as its programs and activities in accordance with current rules and regulations and guidelines that govern the assisted living communities. Develop and maintain methods for coordinating nursing services with other resident services, including outside providers, to ensure the continuity of the resident's total regimen of care. Participate in facility surveys made by authorized government agencies as necessary or as directed. Collect, review and analyze clinical outcome data and determine trends. Attend and provide clinical outcome data trends at the QAPI committee meeting monthly. Participate in the QAPI Committee in developing and implementing appropriate plans of action to correct identified deficiencies. Assist in planning for resident admissions and discharges, including external assessments and medication review. Provide oversight of medication management in the community to include medication education with residents, families and staff. Serve on, participate in and attend various committees of the facility as appointed by the Executive Director. Determine and monitor the staffing needs of the nursing department and ensure the assignment of appropriate and adequate numbers of nursing staff daily for each shift to ensure that the needs of the residents are met. Review annually at a minimum, all nursing services policies and procedures. Participate in the interviewing process and select, with the Executive Director's approval, all clinical support candidates to include, but not limited to, nurses, CHHA's and CMA's. Ensure yearly written performance evaluation of all nursing staff. Assist in developing, implementing, and conducting in service training programs that relate to the nursing department. Ensure that there are adequate supplies for resident care. Ensure that medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident's wishes and per the individualized care plan. In coordination with the Executive Director, prepare, plan and adhere to the nursing services budget. Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information. Ensure residents are treated with dignity and respect and resident rights are maintained. Maintain a liaison with the residents, their families and support departments to adequately plan for the resident's needs, including but not limited to care conferences regularly. Position Requirements A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited nursing institution. Must hold an active Registered Nurse license within the state of employment. CPR and First Aid Certified Minimum of 1 year experience in Assisted Living community. Excellent communication skills to engage residents, family and staff. Understand senior care needs. As a Full-Time Registered Nurse, Health Center Group Manager , you'll provide high-quality care to client employees and their adult dependents at our health center in New York City, NY , while leading the day-to-day clinical operations of the site. Manages staff processes typically composed of health center manager, and multiple technical Team Leads as well as indirectly managing all daily operational processes for Medical Directors and clinical providers. Assists in the creation of site-specific goals and measurements related to the needs of the client(s), including management of metrics to Performance Guarantees. Effectively communicates across the various sites and to stakeholders to ensure consistency in messaging. For multiple contract oversight, effectively communicates with DCO to ensure site level priorities are addressed and messaging is consistent across the book of business (BOB). Compiles input and contributes to performance appraisal process for all indirect reports. Responsible for following appropriate processes for hiring, staff development and performance management and provides input to AVP and DCO as needed. May provide patient care if qualified and where circumstance applies. May require other duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Current license as an RN in practicing state. Certification in Occupational Health (COHN/COHN-S) may be required for some sites. Current hands-on certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. Minimum 3+ years’ experience in the medical field. 2 – 3 years’ management experience. Prior management experience managing a large group a must. Experience accessing CDC, WHO, APIC or other industry standards for Infection Prevention practices.
