Patients on the IMAP unit may present with a wide range of medical concerns, including post-surgical recovery, cardiac abnormalities, sepsis, wound care, or other acute conditions—while also experiencing psychiatric diagnoses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, or severe depression. The unit's structure allows for close medical monitoring while simultaneously addressing behavioral health needs through a multidisciplinary team approach. With a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 / 1:5 and a CNA ratio of 1:6, the unit is staffed to support safe, effective, and compassionate care.
