Overview The Clinical Nurse is an engaged and credentialed member of the Professional Nursing Organization and is responsible for autonomous practice directed by the professional tenets of practitioner, leader/decision maker, scientist and transferor. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide evidence-based care and to continuously monitor and evaluate practice to ensure safe passage of patients that is in the best interest of populations served. Responsibilities Practitioner Utilizes the nursing process to assess, diagnose, identify outcomes, plan, implement and evaluate an individualized plan of care for inpatient and residential high acuity pediatric psychiatry patients. Utilizes critical thinking and the nursing process to anticipate and recognize changes in patient status and demeanor, taking action to modify the plan of care and maintain a therapeutic milieu or to elevate to the care team as necessary. Practices in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics and scope of practice regulations to advocate for patients, uphold their autonomy in decision-making, ensure informed consent and assist patients in families in expressing self-determination. Job Summary We are seeking a part-time, 25-hour Medical Assistant to join our Express Care team! Express Care, formally known as Urgent Care, offers timely treatment for non-emergency conditions. We care for adults and children ages 3 and up, addressing a wide range of issues such as respiratory illnesses, infections, minor injuries, rashes, and stomach problems. Because patients often visit when they’re feeling unwell, our team prioritizes compassion and emotional support alongside quality medical care. Responsibilities Temporary Assignment Registered Nurse (RN) Opportunity - $65 per hour, Day/Evening Shift This position is a 6 month contract, day/evening (7am - 3:30pm & 3pm - 11:30pm) shift position working 32 hours per week. This position required working at least every other weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) and additional weekend flexibility is necessary as scheduling is based off the needs of the hospital. To be considered for this position, an applicant must have a minimum of 1 year of psychiatric RN experience. Eligible applicants must be able to work both day and evening shifts. HRI Hospital is 66-bed psychiatric facility with adult inpatient services and several partial hospitalization programs.
