Incorporates information obtained from nursing care planning conferences into written nursing plan of care. 3. Coordinates patient, family, significant other, and health team members in the planning of hospital and post-discharge care. C. Implementation. 1. Performs clinical nursing skills independently. 2. Administers medications, IV therapy and treatments appropriately and accurately. 3. Initiates appropriate emergency procedures as necessary. 4. Appropriately delegates and coordinates the duties of ancillary personnel. 5. Communicates the patient's status and plan of care through written documentation in the patient's medical record. 6. The program utilizes an intensive multi-disciplinary treatment approach through individual therapy, milieu therapy, and process-oriented, experiential, and psycho-educational group therapies. As a Registered Nurse/RN you will: Perform a full range of professional psychiatric nursing services, including assessing, planning, administering, and evaluating patient care in accordance with team treatment plans. Administer medical treatment as prescribed by physician. Teach and provide psychosocial support to patients and their families. Provide day-to-day clinical direction to assigned Mental Health Workers or other paraprofessional staff. Document and report patient progress to treatment team. The Frederick Health Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is a 20 bed, comprehensive medical-surgical unit providing specialized care for patients with critical, life-threatening illnesses and injuries. The unit manages a broad spectrum of high-acuity conditions, including ST- elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI), sepsis, septic shock, hemorrhagic shock and cardiogenic shock. Additionally, the team provides advanced postoperative care for the acute life-threatening, complex bowel, thoracic, and abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repairs. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail and often in stressful situations. Working Conditions Normal patient care environment with possible exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature.
