Job Purpose: Performs technical skills and assists the surgeons, anesthesia personnel, registered nurses, and other professionals in the operating room. Communicates to the circulating RN and surgeons' breaks in technique. • Trains and assists (environmental services) turnover teams with operating room protocol and procedures for new and existing team members. • Attends all mandatory education programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to general safety and regulatory compliance. • Attends all required department-specific education and training programs and can describe his/her responsibilities related to department safety and specific job-related hazards. • Demonstrates proper body mechanics in all functions. • Wears proper identification while on duty. • Perform other duties as assigned

Excellent opportunities for educational and career growth including advancement opportunities in leadership Here’s What You Need Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire BCLS – prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required ACLS – within 90 days of hire required CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training – within 90 days of hire 1-year experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required Current Telemetry and/or Med/Surg experience preferred In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
