Clients may be housed; living in shelters or on the streets and you will need to be resourceful to connect with our clients. The Progressive Care Unit RN demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments in an effective and efficient manner with supervision. This individual employs critical thinking and performance ability in the coordination of patient care, consistently performs according to nursing standards, and is accountable in managing patient care and assisting others in the management of patient care. The Progressive Care Unit RN is sometimes also called a step-down nurse, cardiac stepdown, neuro stepdown, surgical stepdown and in some medical centers, the PCU is also known as a transition or intermediate unit.
