Patient care include hemodynamic monitoring, treatment of adult patients during the recovery phase from cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, STEMI, exacerbation and treatment of end stage heart failure and the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. This unit also serves as the stroke unit for the hospital as well. Assists in meeting the care needs of the patient in collaboration with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes. Work Schedule : Full-time, 100% FTE, day shift position. Monday through Friday scheduled between the hours of 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM, no weekends or holidays required. Qualifications Completion of an accredited medical assistant program Required or Licensure as an LPN or Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program or an Employee Partner Medical Assistant Program or Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee or Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program – Accelerated or One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification High School diploma or equivalent.
