This RN will be floated to all Med-Surg areas Scheduling Requirement 36 hours per week. Night Shift (7p-7a) The weekend requirement is 3 weekend shifts (Saturday/Sunday) per month. Independently provides patient care through the application of the nursing process and accepts accountability for the nursing care of assigned patients. Assigned patients may range in age from infancy to the elderly. Demonstrates within the competency domains of Continuous Quality Improvement, Evidence Based Practice and Research, Leadership, Person and Family Centered Care, Professionalism, Safety, Technology/Informatics, and Teamwork (Definitions listed below). Works closely with the interprofessional health care team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. Ensure all resident care and nursing practices meet federal, state, and facility standards. Oversee hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and maintaining required 24/7 staffing ratios. Monitor care via daily rounds, enforce infection control, and investigate accidents. Screen prospective residents to ensure the facility meets their care needs. Partner with medical staff and other departments to ensure a supportive environment for residents. Resolve complaints and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff, and the public. Manage the nursing department budget and resources cost-effectively.
