Creates and maintains documentation, which is consistently complete, accurate, timely and legible in accordance with departmental policies and procedures. 10. Maintains a safe environment for our patients through consistent compliance with policies and procedures. 11. Possesses and applies the skills and knowledge necessary to provide care to patients and customers throughout the life span, with consideration of aging processes, human development stages and cultural patterns in each step of the care process. All responsibilities are essential job functions. II. Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: 1. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. 2. Successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program. 3. Valid US-issued driver’s license. 4. Registered, inspected, and insured automobile for work related purposes. Preferred: 1. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. 2. Current CPR certification. Experience/Skills: Required: 1. Ability to perform detailed assignments with minimal supervision and work under pressure. 2. Knowledge of the nursing process for the delivery and management of patient care. 3. Ability to create electronic documentation, which is accurate, intelligible, and concise. 4. Ability to complete and maintain all required licensed practical nurse’s competencies. 5. Ability to communicate proactively and clearly with patients, caregivers, and medical staff. 6. Ability to read, write and speak clearly in English. Preferred: 1. Minimum two (2) years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience in direct patient care. Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.
