Assists with processing prescription refill requests for approval and forwarding to pharmacies. Maintains medical inventory of supplies and keep exam rooms stocked appropriately. Keeps any necessary equipment in operating order and facilitating preventive maintenance when needed. Ensures compliance with healthcare regulations with scope of practice, HIPAA, and OSHA standards. Completes all required competencies and education to maintain skill level to provide safe patient care. Contributes to the development of a plan of care and follows through with such plan for selected patients. Administers medication with a high degree of safety and accuracy. Maintains the exam rooms and work environment. Documents nursing care and activities. Assists with patient care and monitors patients during procedures. Assists with the training of other staff. Assists departmental assistant with clinical matters. Qualifications Education High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a vocational program for Licensed Practical Nurse.
