Description Job Description PeaceHealth is seeking a Medical Assistant or LPN - Cardiology for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $25.62 – $34.58 for MA and $27.38 - $41.06 for LPN. Essential Functions Prepares patients for examination and treatment or anesthesia interview as applicable. Takes and records patient history and vital signs as applicable. Gives injections, applies splints and dressings, and facilitates simple wound management under provider orders. Prepares and maintains supplies and equipment for treatments, including sterilization. May transport specimens. May assist in scheduling patients for tests, initial and follow up appointments. May maintain patient files, records, and other information including entry of data into electronic medical record. May provide phone screening of the patient to appropriate clinical staff and/or physician. Collaborates with a variety of personnel and departments to ensure smooth clinic operations. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant/Medical Office Assistant program, MA Apprenticeship program, or accredited State Board of Nursing LPN program. Experience Minimum of 1 year Preferred: clinical experience as an LPN or medical office experience as an MA. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Cardiovascular Associates of VA Job Summary: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for the delivery of patient care under the direction of the Physician. The LPN functions as an integral part of the health care team to provide the highest quality of care to the patient by preparing and assessing patients for provider visits.
