Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Nurse Manager in the ICU, you will lead the management of clinical nursing practices and patient care delivery on assigned unit(s), focusing on daily operations to achieve departmental goals and foster a high-quality care environment. The Clinical Nursing Manager supports associate development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. This 36-bed, high-acuity unit requires dedicated clinical and operational leadership to manage a complex multidisciplinary team of over 120 employees. Every day you will manage human, fiscal, material, support, and systems resources. You will consistently promote a positive work environment, prioritize associate engagement, and support staff development needs with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education. To be successful in this role, you will possess strong leadership, operational, and financial management skills, a deep understanding of clinical nursing practices, and a proven ability to foster a positive, high-performing team dedicated to quality patient care and continuous improvement. Develop, monitor, and respond to a full range of financial, service, and quality indicators in all areas of responsibilities. Ensure appropriate staffing plan matching competency with patient acuity. Focus on patient safety, patient experience, and performance improvement in alignment with unit/department goals. Involve associates in decision through shared governance structure. Maintain compliance with operational procedures/organizational policies for the clinical activities and regulatory readiness. Conduct an evaluation of productivity and collaborate with finance to forecast revenue and expenses to prepare and manage the unit/department’s budget. The ICU nurses specialize in caring for a broad spectrum of patients that require extensive monitoring and an advanced level of care. Our patient population may include medical, surgical, trauma, stroke and post-operative cardio-thoracic. Our nurses provide care to trauma patients ages 15 years and older and medical/surgical patients ages 18 years and older. The diverse patient population empowers nurses to develop an expansive skillset. Final compensation will depend on a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
