Med Tech CMA reports and when appropriate, records any changes observed in condition or behavior of residents and unusual incidents. Submit incident/accident reports to supervisor or Administrator within twenty‐four (24) hours after their occurrence. Communicates with medical staff, nursing service and other department supervisors. Med Tech CMA supervises care staff in absence of nurses. Maintains, cleans and organizes the Medication Room. Maintains a liaison with other department supervisors to adequately plan for resident activities. Attends all required training, in-service and staff meetings May be subject to the handling of and exposure to hazardous chemicals. May be subject to exposure to infectious waste, diseases, conditions, etc, including TB and the AIDS and Hepatitis B viruses. Maintain resident confidentiality, staff confidentiality; treat staff and residents with kindness, dignity and respect. Comply with Resident’s Rights rules. Med Tech CMA - Requirements: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Medication Administration: Accurately prepare, administer, and document medications according to physician orders and company protocols. Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in residents' health status, behavior, and physical condition. Measure and record vital signs as needed. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required. Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide training program preferred.
