The Family Beginnings Registered Nurse coordinates with the patient, family/loved ones and other healthcare disciplines to ensure care is appropriate to patient care needs. Family Beginnings at Eskenazi Health encompasses a 6-bed triage, 14 bed LDR, OR/PACU, Antenatal unit, and 20 bed postpartum unit. Family Beginnings staff are experienced in all areas of care. Staffing models are based upon AWHONN staffing guidelines.
