Position Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Associate) to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will: Provide expert clinical care to critically ill pediatric cardiac patients, including pre- and post-operative management, hemodynamic stabilization, and complex respiratory support. Perform advanced procedures, including but not limited to, arterial and central line placement, endotracheal intubation, and chest tube insertion. Collaborate closely with attending physicians, surgeons, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans. Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives and research projects. Educate patients, families, and other healthcare professionals on complex cardiac conditions and treatment strategies. Provide coverage for day, night, and weekend shifts, contributing to a 24/7, high-acuity environment. A service week model to mirror the Attending MD schedule is challenging, but enhances continuity of care for the patients and their families.
