The Psychiatrist will conduct examinations on patients scheduled by the institution's medical staff. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and making referral recommendations for inmates. Each workday will consist of eight (8) sessions, totaling two (2) workdays per week (16 sessions + unpaid half-hour lunch). The candidate will have eight (8) sessions to complete a workday. The successful candidate will: Assist the Division Chief/Faculty with clinical and clinical administrative responsibilities. Triage patients presenting for E&M visits and non-invasive procedures, documenting patient charts. Respond to phone inquiries, review lab results, liaise with outside pharmacies. Present trends and opportunities for improvement at the quarterly PI meeting. Provide continuous in-service to staff of all new hospital-wide and division-specific policies and procedures/guidelines.
