Many patients may have had limited access to consistent healthcare prior to incarceration and may present with complex medical, behavioral health, substance use, trauma, or social needs. The role requires compassionate, trauma-informed care and the ability to manage both scheduled and urgent women’s health concerns within a secure correctional environment.
