Position will function as first call for all emergency department consults with physician back-up primarily for Surgical Specialties to include urology, general surgery, plastics, breast & thoracic. Conduct rounds as needed for IP General Surgery specialties. Overnight APP coverage for St. Luke's Hospital, New Bedford, MA Qualifications Bachelors Degree in a related field is required. Graduate of an A.M.A.-approved Physician Assistant program is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Physician Assistant is required. Nurse Practitioner: Masters of Science Degree in Nursing is required. Certification from a National accrediting body to practice as a Nurse Practitioner is required. Knowledge and skill of orthopedic disorders and treatments is required.
