Your Role on the Team The position of Nurse Practitioner II (day and swing shift 90%) n the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine, requires a highly competent, independent yet team-oriented individual who will be immersed in Hospital Medicine. Under the supervision of Anuj Ohri, MD and guided by the applicable policies and procedures, the Nurse Practitioner will participate in the comprehensive care of patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings and provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians. A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) who possesses the advanced education, knowledge, clinical skills and experience necessary to provide advanced nursing care in their area of specialization. This Position May Perform Functions as appropriate to their “scope of practice” (In general, the “scope of practice” includes the management of chronic stable medical conditions, routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures per their approved standardized procedure).
