Qualifications Other information: Knowledge Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required. Maintain current BLS certification. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire, Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN). The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimens, images or reports is required. The Barnes Jewish West County Hospital Department of Radiation Oncology treats 25-40 patients daily. The department has an IX Varian linear accelerator and a Philips Brilliance large bore CT scanner. Physician coverage is from Washington University. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Coordinates the health care of select patient populations/designated service across the continuum of care. Responsible for coordination of patient contact, patient education, prepares patient/family for procedure/test in collaboration with the healthcare team. Responsibilities Facilitates patient care by assessing and evaluating patient's physical, psychosocial and emotional needs. Coordinates the delivery of safe and appropriate patient care governed by evidence-based clinical practice. Monitors care and data to optimize patient outcomes. Facilitate the education of patients and families. Acts as a resource to the health care team. Ensures actions meet and support the overall goals of the business.
