Assists with bedside interventional procedures. Adapts to varied age specific patient populations, eg, infant, toddler, adult, etc. Performs IV placing and removal. Directly accountable for preventing hospital acquired infections related to hand-hygiene performance of self and staff. Performs venipuncture, IV infusion therapy, phlebotomy. Completes all required annual competencies. Precepts new nurses as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
