Monitor pertinent lab results to assess patients' eligibility and qualification for specific therapies, collaborating with the provider to adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain certifications on all lab equipment to perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing for quick turnaround of CBCs, INRs, urinalysis testing, and blood glucose testing. Demonstrate expertise in conducting POC testing, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results for immediate clinical decision-making. Uphold quality control measures and adhere to regulatory standards in performing POC testing. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting infusion therapy details, vital signs, nursing assessments, and interventions. Ensure adherence to documentation standards and regulatory requirements. Patient Care:Identifies opportunities to improve patient care based on feedback from staff and customers. Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. Monitors quality of core process in department. Technical Competency: Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed. Obtains complete history and physical data on patients. Reviews patient records. Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Establishes presumptive diagnosis. Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. Provides care that is appropriate for specific age groups. The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned.
