A Brief Overview Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a part time Licensed Practical Nurse for their Moorestown Primary Care office. The shift will be based off of the operational need. Two years of LPN and pediatric experience is preferred. The Licensed Practical Nurse performs routine nursing care of the ill, injured or infirm under the direction of a licensed professional (RN) nurse, nurse practitioner and/or a physician. The LPN participates in the planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in accordance with the scope of the LPN as defined by the State Board of Nursing and health system standards. Also supports operations through administrative duties as required. The nurse must demonstrate competence in caring for patients with moderate to complex health issues and assist the Site Manager with administrative issues which affect the clinical practices within the office as well as comply with the administrative policies and clinical protocols as outlined in policy and procedure manual. Administratively responsible to the Site Manager and Ambulatory Nursing Director for nursing practice issues. Must be willing to rotate if needed to other Care Network sites within the designated cluster. What you will do Provide and document direct nursing care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Nursing care is guided by physician orders and the plan of care. Patient response to care is reported to a registered nurse or physician for evaluation, intervention and modification of the plan of care. Assist other health care personnel in the delivery of patient care. Participate in maintaining the environment of care including equipment and other material resources.
