Informs patient and family of hospital procedures and shares care plan during the time of care and at the time of discharge. Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel. Fosters a growth mindset through seeking mentorship, remaining open to coaching and feedback, and maintaining professional certification(s)/licensure in order to perpetually develop and uphold the skills required for proficiency within the nursing profession. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Education: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Experience: 0-3 years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse. License/Certification/Registration: Current Registered Nurse License (RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact Registered Nurse (eNLC)). Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Knowledge of basic professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures. In an environment of continuous quality improvement, t he Registered Nurse is responsible for rendering professional nursing care and directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel . Assists with completion of chart audits for nursing documentation as required. Complete staff assignments taking into account the skill level and acuity of patient assignment. Manages throughput on the nursing unit and make changes to assignments as needed. Reports to the nursing unit manager any problems in regards to performance, safety, staffing, behavior, etc. Assists with conflict resolution in the absence of the nursing manager in collaboration with the house supervisor. Role models positive behaviors with staff including integrity, fairness and consistency. Agent for change for the department. Assigned and assist as super user for completion of incident report. Minimum Education/Experience Required: Current licensure in the State of Ohio or if working in WV will need a WV license as a Registered Nurse. BLS required upon hire. ACLS within 1 year of employment required. Special Knowledge, Skills, Training: Verbal, clerical, numerical, and manual dexterity, color vision and near visual acuity, proper lifting techniques and body mechanics.
