About this Job: Highlights Looking for a motivated RN with IV Therapy experience to join our PRN VAT team. Looking for flexibility in schedule and must be willing to pick up time between Union Memorial Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital. Requirements are 4 shifts in a 6-week scheduling period (including two off shifts nights or weekends) Must work one holiday per year. General Summary of Position Professional care provider who assesses plans implements and evaluates the nursing care of patients from admission through discharge. In collaboration with the patient and family provides theory-based professional nursing care and coordinates care delivery with various members of the interdisciplinary team. Must work at least four shifts in a 6-week period inclusive of two weekend or night shifts; also must work one designated official holiday. Job Description The Registered Nurse provides safe therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way, incorporating differences into the provision of care. Integrates knowledge, skills, and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum to include patient and family education. Relies on education and training to complete responsibilities within scope of licensure as registered nurse. Responsibilities Clinical Practice and Care Management Performs psychosocial/physiologic assessments that integrates changing data Formulates a plan of care based on trends of similar patients, including patient education and discharge planning. Tailors and prioritizes caring practice to individual needs, including cultural/ ethical/ spiritual needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs.
