Each resident will be provided with support from a Nurse Residency Program Educator who has advanced Nursing education and experience in transitioning new nurses from students to professionals and in the clinical specialty areas. The Nurse Residency Program Educator is also responsible for scheduling, facilitating the personalized residency experience, continuously revising the track-specific orientation pathway and evaluating the progress of each assigned resident based upon the feedback of the multidisciplinary team and the resident's self-evaluation to provide residents progression. The Staff Nurse is responsible for managing and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The Staff Nurse is responsible for assessing, prescribing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The Staff Nurse prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of, the patient care team.
