GENERAL DESCRIPTION Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager and the Assistant Vice President of Outpatient Clinics, the RN of Oncology Infusion and Oncology Clinic will provide patient support and telephone nursing support for patients with the diagnosis of cancer in various settings; utilizes an empathetic and caring approach to patients whose diagnosis and treatment are often complex. The RN functions with autonomy in clinical nursing practice within the guidelines established by the Iowa Board of Nursing and Broadlawns Medical Center. The RN is responsible for assisting providers in providing timely patient visits, communications, and the processing of outpatient medication refill requests. PERFORMANCE STANDARDS 1. Collect and interpret clinical data from various sources to support sound, evidence-based care decisions. Develop and update individualized service plans tailored to participant needs. Demonstrate understanding of the complex needs of individuals with chronic medical and bio-psychosocial conditions. Maintain compliance with all regulatory, documentation, and organizational standards. Qualifications: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Current UAS-NY Certification required. Experience working with UAS-NY strongly preferred. Prior experience in MLTC and/or Managed Medicaid settings is a plus. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities efficiently. Proficiency with electronic documentation systems and strong computer skills.
