Purpose of Position: Coordinates total nursing care for patients in the above listed setting. Participates in patient and family teaching, pre, intra and post procedure. Performs cardiovascular assessment. Assess the physical, mental and psychosocial status of patients. Assists physicians with minor/local surgical procedures to include pain management interventions. Assists physicians with gastroenterology procedures to include but not limited to colonoscopy with polypectomy, biopsy, splinting patient’s abdominal wall during colonoscopy, esophageal dilations, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy, bandings and electrocautery procedures to include argon plasma coagulation, clipping and subcutaneous injections. Performs pre and post procedure phone calls Provides care of the post procedure patient. Maintains appropriate licenses, certifications, registrations required to perform duties of their designated role/position. Demonstrates proficiency in computerized nursing informatics. Overview Regional Nursing Supervisor-Manager Seven Hills Community Services, an Affiliate of Seven Hills Foundation To advocate for all medical needs of assigned program participants focusing on optimal health for all assigned individuals in the Seven Hills Community Services (SHCS) Residential Care setting. Supervise the coordination of medical services and nursing staff in the Southeast. As a credentialed supervisor, you will manage credentialed and professional personnel, ensuring that services are delivered with expertise and in alignment with professional standards, program objectives and our core values. Your leadership will encompass staff and resource management, guiding your team to provide compliant, high-quality support to our service recipients while adhering to best practices and organizational and professional standards. Vacation Cash-Out Option 3 Paid Personal Days 11 Paid Holidays Accrued Paid Sick Time Responsibilities Assess and coordinate healthcare and services for participants in the Southeast Region. Select programs have a greater number of assigned nursing hours and thereby a greater oversight responsibility. Institute appropriate follow up and communicate all medical issues to: Residential Manager, Health Care Director, Area Director, and any other appropriate Seven Hills Community Services (SHCS) staff. Maintain, Review, and supervise all medical care services in Southeast. Provide supervision and training to northeast nursing staff. Medication Administration Program (MAP) trainer and Medication Administration Program (MAP) oversight with reports to facilitate compliance. Attend and participate in residential staff meetings and provide in-service training of residential staff on medical topics as needed. Complete reports in accordance with regulations. Facilitate effective communication with participant’s physician to obtain medical information and treatment. Document medical needs of participants and interventions as needed. Advise the Health Care Director of any medical problems that may hinder a person’s progress or placement in current residential setting. Foster the growth of individuals and to treat them with respect, dignity and in an age and culturally appropriate manner. Be familiar with the regulations and statutes governing and insuring the human rights of program participants. Implement procedures and services including medical interventions, or additional duties, as assigned by the Health Care Director of Seven Hills Community Services (SHCS). Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience: Registered Nurse with current MA license. 2-3 years working in a residential setting with disabled adults. Supervisory experience 2 years.
