Working closely with physicians, the RN will manage telephone triage, medication and supply refills, patient education, injections, prior authorizations, and care coordination. Experience with insurance processes, pharmacy management, and strong communication skills are preferred. The PRN position requires 16 hours per week (two 8-hour shifts on Mondays and Fridays, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm). Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction. Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
