Directs proper handling of patient records, coordinates with other medical departments and hospitals for admissions and scheduling, makes decisions involving personnel changes and assignments, type and quantity of supplies needed, and proper solution to any problems arising with patients over scheduling, appointments, or charges. Handles phone calls from patients regarding medical problems and laboratory results. Refers questions or problems of an unusual medical or emergent nature to physicians. Monitors and maintains inventory levels in order to assure efficient clinic operation.
