How you make a difference The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the direct supervision of the health care delivery system within their assigned nursing unit. They collect health status data, diagnose patients, set goals, plan and implement care, and evaluate patient progress. The Nurse Supervisor also provides patient education and ensures that ancillary personnel are qualified to perform the services they provide. Key Responsibilities Review and ensure compliance of nursing plans, medical records, and referrals with policies and procedures. Monitor and facilitate progressive patient care through team approach and patient education. Assist DON in maintaining clinical skills of registered nurses and ensuring nursing actions are within scope of licensure. Identify and address potential problems, establish priorities, and propose corrective actions. Maintain unit cleanliness and coordinate patient care with other departments, while ensuring appropriate stock levels of medical supplies and equipment maintenance. Additional Details -This position offers an $8500 Bonus! -This is a supervisor position with on-call rotation. Qualifications & Requirements Education Successful graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Experience Prefer a minimum of one-year clinical experience Licenses/Certifications Must have and maintain current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the State of employment. Regional Registered Nurse Supplemental Staffing Team

Overview The Supplemental Staffing Team (SST) Registered Nurse (RN) assesses, analyzes, plans, implements and evaluates patient care following established patient care standards for Appalachian Regional Healthcare including those established by the Nurse Practice Act. The primary function of this role, based upon hired tier and float option, is to be available and flexible to float to various departments and/or hospital sites throughout ARH healthcare locations within Kentucky and/or West Virginia. Embraces concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing. In collaboration with the patient/family the RN evaluates patient outcomes and revises the patient’s plan of care. Negotiates with the patient/family and health care team members to come to an acceptable resolution of conflicts resulting from patient care or organizational issues. Demonstrates an appreciation of the hospital mission by acting as a resource for employees, students, and residents. Is supportive of patient and family centered care, promoting that environment within the care provided. Includes family and patient in plan of care, providing teaching and support where needed. Incorporates the professional practice model into care delivery. Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department.
