Serve as a resource and subject-matter expert on infection prevention guidance across the organization. Qualifications for an Infection Prevention Wound Care Nurse: Current nursing license in good standing. Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. Associate degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field required. Completion of specialized training in infection prevention and control is required. Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (CIC) preferred. Strong clinical knowledge and analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and implement corrective actions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to educate and influence staff at all levels.
