Clinically competent RN who demonstrates expertise in the perioperative field. Performs circulating and/or scrub duties. Demonstrates understanding and practice of aseptic technique. Must have a mechanical ability to deal with a large number of machines and special equipment in the department, such as: Electrocautery units, autoclaves, tourniquets, positioning equipment, instrumentation of each service, video equipment, perioperative suite in total, ligasure. Meets the physical demands of the position. Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress. Meets skill certification requirements for designated units. Registered Nurse (RN) Education and Experience Requirements: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Licensed and currently registered as a Professional Nurse in the state of CT.
